RATHER THAN UNDERSTANDING THE WORKPLACE AS A TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN ENVIRONMENT, THE PROJECT PROPOSES A MORE HUMAN AND BIOPHILIC MODEL.
CONCEPT
The design is structured through four layers of biophilia: vegetation within the workspaces, an internal green wall, large openings toward central and rear gardens, and a vegetated rooftop conceived as a living skin that extends nature into the urban fabric.
Set within a 90-year-old building in San José, the intervention restores and reactivates an existing piece of the city. Heritage, nature, flexibility, and urban regeneration operate as one integrated workplace strategy.
PROGRAM
The office operates as a flexible system with an open plan and programmatic elements that support multiple configurations. Stepped seating transforms the workplace into a setting for artistic expression, projection, training, lectures, and collective discussion.
