SKY FOREST IS A 140,000 M² MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT IN MÉRIDA CONCEIVED AS A VERTICAL URBAN LANDSCAPE. THREE TOWERS RISE AT DIFFERENT HEIGHTS ABOVE A CONNECTED PUBLIC REALM, ESTABLISHING A CLEAR HIERARCHY WITHIN THE CITY SKYLINE. RESIDENTIAL, CORPORATE, COMMERCIAL, CULTURAL, AND AMENITY PROGRAMS ARE LAYERED WITH PLANTED TERRACES, ELEVATED GARDENS, AND TREE-FILLED PUBLIC SPACES, CREATING A DENSE URBAN ENSEMBLE IN WHICH ARCHITECTURE AND VEGETATION FORM A CONTINUOUS SPATIAL SYSTEM.

CONCEPT
The project reinterprets the mixed-use tower as an inhabited forest. Three buildings of different heights — 96, 110, and 89 meters — establish a balanced skyline while breaking the development into distinct vertical communities. Broad horizontal platforms and planted terraces interrupt the towers’ mass, and upper volumes are wrapped in vegetation to extend the landscape from the ground plane into the architecture.

Sky Forest concentrates a large mixed-use program within a compact vertical footprint while returning substantial planted space at multiple levels. Its network of parks, terraces, facade planting, and elevated gardens softens the towers’ scale and strengthens the relationship between dense urban development, public life, and the landscape of Mérida.
PROGRAM
The program combines residential space, corporate offices, commerce, amenities, parking, and public landscape across three towers and their shared base. Commercial uses activate the ground level, while parks, cultural and lifestyle spaces, access routes, and pedestrian areas connect the development with the adjacent La Isla Mérida shopping center and lake.

Within each tower, corporate programs occupy the lower volumes, shared amenities and recreation form elevated transition levels, and residential programs rise above them. Parking and access are organized at the base, circulation cores structure the vertical sequence, and landscaped platforms create communal spaces between the principal uses.
